What is Retrograde?

Mercury orbits around the Sun in 88 days, while the Earth orbits round the Sun in 365 days. Retrograde simply means that the planet gives the optical illusion of moving in a backward direction, when seen from Earth. When a planet appears to be moving forward normally, it is said to be direct again.

 

How does Mercury impact us?

Mercury is the ruling planet of communication, knowledge, technology, logic and finances.

When Mercury is in Retrograde motion, all these aspects of the swift Mercury can turn negative or chaotic compared to the usual situation.

Mercury (now Retrograde), is also currently sitting with the Sun in Leo. The Sun represents power and authority. Leo represents confidence and leadership. Therefore, our communication with the leadership or our communication when in a leadership position ourself, can get impacted during this period.
